The after of the after is about orienting your mind around the essence of your actions, beingness, or thinking. Far too many people simply think about their immediate need, want, or short term consequence.. It is a higher order of thinking when we wrap our head around the after of the after. Drilling down, if I get what I want what will that get me, and then what will that get me?
In many ways our future is predictable, yet people make choices and decision seeking short term benefits... satisfying immediate needs and impulses yet not considering the longer term, or the eventual fallout of their choices. When you orient to the result of the result, we can often create a life that is more purposeful and filled with meaning than if we are simply responding to the moment or circumstance.
When spending money we're concerned with the cost of something but may not consider the overall value or long-term impact. We make health choices thinking short-term and not how will impact our health and well-being next year or 10 years from now. Many accidents can be prevented if we only look far enough ahead.
