Description

In this episode Tammy speaks to Andy Pollard about the most significant learnings he took away from the Training 4 Influence programme, why emotional resilience is important for frontline professionals, and why he recommends Training 4 Influence to his colleagues coming out of the police.

Andy Pollard, a retired Detective Sergeant of the West Yorkshire Police, was unsure about whether training was for him. Accustomed to training that was uncollaborative and dictatorial, he chose to refer to himself as a facilitator rather than a trainer even before the Train the Trainer programme. As a professional with decades of experience within the police, there is no doubt that Andy is an expert within his field. Going through the course taught him new techniques and reaffirmed Andy’s training style showing him that he was a facilitator

At Training 4 Influence, we believe that influential training is not about telling delegates what to do and how to do it. Instead, we use our methodology to develop the knowledge and experience that delegates already have. And that is the same for our Train the Trainer programme. Each cohort is filled with professionals from a range of different experiences and expertise. So our methodology does not dictate what you do in your training, instead, it gives you the tools necessary to make it more influential.

We hope you enjoy!

In series 2 of the Training 4 Influence Podcast. Our aim is to help you deliver the best training possible. We’ll be exploring how to make the most of every single second of a training session. And how to deliver training so that it has added influence.
