Let’s be honest... as we get older and our responsibilities grow, most of us stop thinking about PLAY. With all of our responsibilities as adults, play just doesn’t always feel important anymore. But fun and play are SO important. Even as adults!

In this episode, I talk about all the important benefits of play for adults.

First of all, play is extremely beneficial to your mental health. It reduces stress and minimizes the risk of burnout. It’s also good for your physical health, because it can be a part of your exercise routine. It can make exercise more fun, which will help you do it more often. Another benefit to play is that it can help you improve your relationships and connections with other people. It can help you with your communication with your partner, your co-workers, your friends, and your kids.

Another very powerful benefit to play that isn’t given enough attention is that play helps you reconnect with your inner child. It gives your inner child a voice and an outlet. Which is going to help you reconnect with yourself.

In this episode, I also talk about different types of “play personalities”: the collector, the competitor, the creator/artist, the director, the explorer, the joker, the kinesthetic player, and the storyteller.

And if you want to start incorporating more fun and more play into your everyday life, but you’re not sure where to start, learn what you enjoy. Learn what makes you laugh. Remember what you loved as a kid. And just start there.
