In this 4th of July episode we talk about flags. Doesn't sound like a feminist subject...until you start unpacking the myth of Betsy Ross and how white southern women revived the battle flag of Gen. Lee to provide a symbol for the KKK revival in the 1890's. Debby wanted to title this episode "Flags and their Bullsh*t" but decided against it. We also discuss positive flags like the Pride flag and contemplate our own Feminist Utopia flag. Resources
