Dhayany and Demetrius are here today to introduce the first episode of their podcast. They are excited because they finally get to put all their thoughts, their experiences, and what they’ve seen in the sessions they’ve had with over a hundred couples in one place.
Demetrius starts off by expressing his thanks to everything Dhayany has done in their twelve-year relationship before Dhayany gets into talking about power couples. She provides her definition of what a power couple is and asserts that money has nothing to do with it. We then hear a detailed list of attributes that power couples possess.
A discussion begins regarding that often, one person in the power couple can perform a task better than the other. The two then speak a little about their backgrounds and the first investment that they did together, including an interesting story about Demetrius getting a financial background check done on Dhayany. She then discusses how she is smart with credit while Demetrius’ speciality is cash.
A conversation ignites about joint bank accounts, with both Dhayany and Demetrius claiming that a couple cannot grow together if their bank accounts are separated. This is then compared to how within a company, everyone is part of a department and knows what their position is. The couple say that in a relationship, both people need to know their role.
Demetrius contends that we need to be willing to adapt to change for our businesses to become better. He says that once we open up and let other people be on our team, that’s when we will find success. Dhayany adds that this vision needs to start within our relationships.
