This week on episode 17 of The Social 360 Podcast I share my thoughts on the new Instagram update now that I have finally had the chance to test them out, Social Media Day on June 30th, the DDoS attack against Feedly, a WordPress plugin for tweets and I answer 3 common social media questions.
I finally received my Instagram 6.0 update and have been playing around with the new tools available in the app. I have to say I am really impressed with how easy and intuitive the tools are to use and just how good of a job they do at making my photos look really good.
This year Social Media Day will be held on June 30th and the Social Solutions Collective will be holding all day events.

Feedly DDoS Attack
Three days in a row Feedly (one of my favourite services) has suffered disrupted service because of a DDoS attack that has the goal of extorting money from them. I (and many others) am really annoyed at this because of how much I depend on Feedly in my daily workflow. I am glad to see Feedly not back down and pay the ransom demands and instead fight to defend themselves.
This week I answer three of the most common questions I am asked.
You can hear my full responses on the podcast.
This week my resource of the week is a WordPress plugin that helps you create tweetable call to actions within your posts. The plugin is called Click To Tweet by TodayMade this is an easy to use plugin that allows you to create click to tweet boxes with your message within your post. If you combine this with a call strong to action you have the opportunity to expose your posts to a new audience that may not have otherwise seen the post.
