Data turns “Take your Daughter to Work Day” into “Make Your Daughter at Work Day”! Data’s always trying to be a better android who wants to be a person. He’s tried his hand at comedy, whistling, detectiv-ing, and making love to women-ing. Now, this crazy robot wants to understand what it’s like to be a dad! Data returns from a cybernetics conference with a positronic brain full of new ideas! Our favorite android tells his pals that he can transfer his neural network into another being! An offspring who he names Lal! Hey, we know people have their hobbies on this ship: Picard builds tiny ships in bottles, Wesley invents microscopic life forms, Deana sits there a lot, and Riker, he collects alien girlfriends. When Jean Luc learns that Data has created new life, he has to wrestle with the moral complications that come with Data’s planned parenthood.
