Description

During the holiday, it is especially important to remember that our circumstances are neutral.

On the podcast this week I will share with you three ways in which we we may confuse a fact and a story.  We often think that our circumatance are not neutral.

The first way is we have a thought loop that we think so much in our lives that we just start thinking our thoughts are true, and we don't realize it is not part of the circumstances.

The second way is we find so many others to agree with us on our thinking, that we think it is part of the circumstance.

The last way is we create evidence that proves our thought, and we think that makes it a fact.

All three of the above  examples are still just our thought and sentences in our head, and they are not the facts.

Watch what stories our brain make up about the holidays.

I share a little exercise to try.

Write down the facts  of the story and then the rest are just your thoughts.

Once we sort out the facts from the thoughts, we see that it is the thoughts that are making us feel either positive or negative, and not actually the circumstances.

This become great new because we begin to understand,  we have control over our thoughts not our circumstances.
We are actually the ones who decides if something is positive or negative.
