Hello Kitchen Table Theology Family!  In this episode, Pastor Jeff and Jen Denton continue their discussion on Angelology. So far in this series, we’ve discussed what angels are, what they do within God’s purpose, our relationship with angels, and Demonology. Today we continue our discussion on Demonology and discuss what they do.

• Satan was the original sinner (1 John 3:8)
  • Satan’s purpose is to tempt others to sin
• Demons oppose and attempt to destroy every work of God
  • Satan's and demons’ tactics are to use deception, murder, and destructive activity in the attempt to cause people to turn away from God (2 Cor 4:4)
• Demons are limited by God's control and they have limited power
  • In Job, we see that Satan had to ask permission from God in order to torment Job 
  • God is all-powerful (Isaiah 46, Mark 13)

• Demons actively work at promoting idolatry
  • Anything that takes us away from the work of Christ and that we put above God in our hearts is idol worship
• Demons actively work at promoting false religion
• Demons and Satan cannot read your thoughts or know the future
