Welcome to Independence, Kansas! ...sort of... We had a request from a listener to feature their town, and were more than happy to oblige. Dr. Jess wasn't able to find a full episode worth of articles through her normal channels for Independence, so she combined the town and a Halloween theme in honor of the town's festival, Neewollah. Neewollah is the oldest and largest festival in Kansas. The festival opened yesterday and runs through October 30th.
