Purity Culture has done a number on the Church over the years. Misogyny, sexual guilt, misinformation, and sexual abuse are only a few of the many destructive issues caused by this movement, leaving a wake of confused, abused, and misguided generations of would-be Christ-followers. Being full of obvious flaws, our natural reaction is to push back against this largely Evangelical culture with everything we have, but should we be throwing out the baby with the bathwater?
