Dalaina May takes us for a tour of those five years she spent in the jungles of Peru, working with a remote tribal people group with her husband and three young boys. While there, she managed to enroll in a graduate program via satellite. It triggered what she now calls a serious "deconstruct" that transitioned her family to Indonesia. In the exotic island city of Bali, she encountered the hard realities of life in the shadows, brothels of the sex trade where trafficking was commonplace. She joined forces with locals working to rescue, to support and to empower young women. She became the Executive Director of Dark Bali, an NGO designed to address the global pandemic of human trafficking. Her story of courage, conviction, and renewal led her to create a forum for recovering missionaries. SEE LINKS. SHOW NOTES.
