Today on the Irish and international stage of our PNP podcast we visit Aisling's personal trainer.
Situated in the heart of Finglas, Dublin is an incredibly passion and purpose fuelled business, Fitt Conditioning Finglas. This gym has been a major source of positivity and wellbeing for hundreds of people locally for nearly eight years now. The local community have been blessed by the passion dedication and drive of the man behind the barbell, Paul ‘Fred’ Hennessy, for setting up and sustaining this powerhouse.
Beyond the gym Fred is actually such a community activist and is very passionate about helping people. His warm-hearted nature has been expressed through various projects, mentor ships and charities including coaching local soccer teams and increasing the body strength of people with conditions such as cerebral palsy and muscle dystonia.
One of Fred’s hobbies is power lifting, which he has been engaged in for the last four years and last year he competed in the Ulster Open Power Lifting Competition and finished runner up.
We chat about growing a business organically, making progress in the gym, strength training, power lifting, building relationships first, helping people, community spirit, training smart and consistently, managing stress, and doing what's right for you.
