Born into a musical family in Montana, Colleen was raised on country music. With a degree in musical theater, she moved to New York City and formed the band Sweetgrass. They performed regularly and released a CD called Primal. After Sweetgrass, she continued as a solo artist and has released three EPs: The One Who Listens, In The Clouds, and the most recent Cowgirl Royalty .
