John Willkom takes us on his journey from a small town boy who loved the game of basketball to a D1 player at Marquette University. John's journey was not a direct and easy road. He is proof that heart and a strong love for anything can help you through the tough times.
John talks about not only his journey in basketball but also his life during and after the game.
He Co-founded Playmakers Basketball which implemented collegiate-level workouts into a basketball camp circuit and AAU program aimed to provide better opportunities to kids in the Midwest. He also found time to coach youth and grade school teams.
After college, worked for Kellogg's where he moved up the cooperate ladder using what he learned about himself in basketball. He also received his MBA at Loyola University Chicago
Now John is the Vice-President of Business Development ECommerce at The Stable.
