Aurora is an NYC educator who represents the Bronx but teaches in Brooklyn. She has taught social studies for 5 years and has experience in both the charter and public school systems. She embraces culturally relevant pedagogy and views the classroom as an incubator for change.
Her practice has allowed her to champion an 89% pass rate on the NYS U.S. History Regents and she co-authored a global history curriculum that achieved a 93% pass rate on the Global II Regents. When she is not grading, she is working on her website theconsciouspedagogue.com which will serve as a community and resource center for teachers new or seasoned in the profession.
