Description

When Patti Smith was broke in New York, a total stranger paid for her sandwich. That guy was Allen Ginsberg, a poet whose work she loved. They talked that day, and reconnected later when Patti met other members of the Beats. They supported each other artistically and emotionally for almost thirty years, and now Patti Smith keeps Allen’s legacy alive by performing his work.
