Today we have an exciting episode as we talk about adoption. “For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him:” (1 Samuel 1:27) Not all adoptions have happy beginnings or endings, so today we would like to talk about some of those ups and downs. My friends and I are glad to have Vanessa Shaffer joining us today as she shares about the journey God has taken her and her husband through in adopting.
“To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” Galatians 4:5-7
"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8:15)
