In most parts of the world, schools are taking breaks to sort of reset for the upcoming school terms. That’s also a great time for families to spend extra opportunities to relax, to catch up on other work, and to explore places together. Whether you send your kids to a traditional school or you school them in your home, education is a vital developmental period for young people. The Bible should be our standard for rearing children for the Lord. Â
 Deuteronomy 6:5-9
5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
Education begins in the home. The Lord desires parents to intentionally choose to teach their children God’s Word. And it’s also important that they grow not only in their knowledge of the Bible but also in other areas as we read in Luke 2:52 of our perfect example: “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”
How to trust Jesus as your Savior:
Jesus Christ died for your sin.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
Admit you are a sinner and believe on Jesus to be your Savior.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
Read God’s Word and attend a Bible teaching church.
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18
