In this episode of the Bosque County Blast, we head to the sole fundraiser for the Bosque Arts Center this year: Tablescapes. Jan Kieta tells us some history, speaking of local businesses and artists' contributions this year. Lynne Dahl of Clifton VFD presents a special Christmas raffle to support local firefighters, with a generous nod to the local businesses that help them. Tammy Cameron reports that the tree planting on behalf of Meridian Parks and Recreation went off without a hitch, but only because of great people that lent a hand. Marianne Woerner delivers the latest update with the Meridian Public Library Chili Supper Fundraiser. Last but not least at all, Jackie Merski of Bosque Animal Rescue Kennels provides an important message about giving pets for Christmas gifts. BARK is set for an adoption event Saturday and Sunday this weekend at Tractor Supply in Clifton. Remember, the best gift you can give is to provide a neglected animal with a good, stable home.
Special thanks to our sponsors Uncle Gus' Marina and Resort, Clifton Feed and Service, ViraClear, The Screen Door Inn, and Dr. Julie Merriman of Dragonfly Therapy.
