For the first time in person since VDC #1 we welcome Alex Mckendry to the podcast! I met Alex through work where what should have been a 5 minute pitch turned into an hour long chat, which then became our standard operating procedure every time we met. I could talk to Alex for hours and hours about a myriad of topics but mainly we focused on a shared passion of both of ours, hockey. Alex has downplayed it since the day I met him but he had an interesting journey to where he is today that took him to some interesting places and culminated in multiple call ups to the NHL and scoring his first NHL goals in his first ever playoff game with the islanders in 79-80. Alex decided to pursue his goals outside of hockey at 26 years old, a decision we discuss in depth and really shows the amount of true character that is apparent from a mile away to anyone who is lucky enough to come in contact with him! It was an absolute pleasure to chat with him and you are all in for a treat!
