Today on the podcast we have one of the most amazing people in the Edmonton comedy scene, Alex Jocko. Alex is not your typical sullen brooding comedian, she is a proud mother and a breathe of fresh air to any room she walks in. Her bubbly personality has always made her one of my favourite people to talk to and the effort she puts into running amazing shows across the city gives us endless fodder for conversation. Not only does she help run one of the longest running and most successful open mics in Canada at the Black Dog Freehouse but she also runs awesome shows at the Grindstone theatre every week! I love when comics give back to the community with shows and I love it even more when they put real care into them like Alex does.
