One of the lanes I have wanted to take this podcast is finding ways to bring important information to light that is not getting the requisite attention that it deserves. This episode is my first step towards that goal and I couldn’t imagine a better way to kick it off! I was joined by Jennifer Simms from the Alzheimer’s society of Grande Prairie to chat about what types of resources that are available to families affected by alzheimer’s and dementia. Jennifer really shone a light on just how little I understood and was able to provide some practical tools, warning signs, as well as frameworks to better understand both individuals and families working to find happiness in all different kinds of situations. I really hope there is some good information in this conversation and I ask that you pass this on to someone who may need to hear some of these things and reach out to their local Alzheimer’s society to take advantage of the amazing resources and staff!
