Today's episode is a fascinating discussion with my old friend from University Megan Chambers! We discussed some of the old court battles against the UofA as documented in previous episodes, the break in and theft of our computers from our office in the university residence as well as the lack of resources given after such a traumatic event, her subsequent journey through law school, concussions, the world of practicing law, her Borderline Personality Disorder diagnosis and how this all led to her current venture of starting her own firm! It's a jam packed conversation full of reminiscing and catching up. Megan was fearless in talking about how her BPD affects her life inside and outside of work and how the current structures of law practices do not have adequate solutions. I learned so much about what it is like to have Borderline Personality Disorder and I can't thank Megan enough for being so vulnerable and honest in the conversation. I believe bold in-depth conversations about diagnoses like these are extremely important in making others feel like they aren't alone, helping people recognize/diagnose earlier as well as showing that regardless of your situation you can still make your dreams a reality if you work hard and are honest with yourself.
