Parenting is a huge responsibility and it can be hard to know what the best, most researched and up-to-date parenting practices are without reading or learning about them. The guests of today's episode dive into ways parents can raise empathetic and resilient kids by healing their own past wounds and disciplining without yelling.
They talk about the program they've created to help toddler parents understand their child's unmet needs and offers parents helpful strategies to communicate with their kids.
Bryana, Sonnet, and Veronica @raisingchildrenyoulike are the founders of Raising Children You Like @raisingchildren you like. They're a group of moms with 6 kids between them. Sonnet and Veronica are co-hosts of Not Your Mother's Podcast. On the search for parenting answers, Sonnet and Veronica partnered with Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Bryana Kappa from South Bay Mommy and Me and started an online mindful parenting educational system for toddler parents called Raising Children You Like. In their program they cover topics such as Tackling tantrums and understanding a child’s unmet needs and discipline without yelling, they also take parents through the processes of healing past wounds as a parent, so they don’t pass them along to their children and ultimately teach parents how to raise a child with empathy, resilience, and compassion. They don’t take raising the next generation lightly and understand the responsibility it involves and have risen to the occasion and taken action.
