Description

"I used to go up at 6 am to train dancers before going to work at 10 am"

Paul Muiruri is the artistic director of Artzone Events & Entertainment in Nairobi, Kenya. His dance career took off after he taught himself dance moves from music videos and nailed an audition for Safari Cuts. With this dance company, he performed almost daily for eight years. Today he is running his own company, Artzone and they perform with a mix of styles both in Kenya and internationally.

In this interview, we will get to know more about the dance community in Kenya, the struggles of running a company, and the passion that makes everything worth it.
