Everyone knows exercise is good for us, and increases mental and physical health and longevity...but how much is too much?
Well, that depends!
Every single person is going to be different, and needs to make adjustments to their own training, nutrition and lifestyle, to get the most out of the time, energy and effort they are putting in.
Everyone has hit a heavy legs session that has crippled them for days, and it hurts to walk up stairs or sit on the toilet...that's a sure sign that you've done too much. 
If we train way beyond our capabilities, we spend all of our energy trying to repair and recover the systems that were damaged through training.
Everyone also knows that person that goes to the gym, and does the same workout, week in week out, month in month out, over the course of a year, and doesn't look any different.
If we don't train slightly beyond our capabilities, we spend a lot of time, energy and effort in going to the gym, but don't yield the results we want.

● Caught up with the wrong crowd, stealing, drugs, skipping school
● At 14 years old, I sat on a bus for 3 days with $50 in my pocket, to travel to the next State over West, to begin a new life in the workforce - 2000
14 - 20: I grew up and learned how to become a man through work and rugby
20 - 26: I lived, trained and fought as a professional soldier, at a high level
26 - 32: I became a personal trainer, after failing in my pursuit to become a firefighter
32 - 38: I worked with, and won world titles with some of the best athletes on the planet, as their strength and conditioning coach
38+: The next evolution begins
