Bio:
I am an experienced retirement specialist, who is known for helping, educating, and supporting clients as I help them develop strategic investment plans for the future. I’ve spent the last almost 6 years learning everything there is to know about the retirement industry. I’m currently working toward a securities license while applying my knowledge in my role as a trainer and a leader in AF.
I am originally from Bexley OH, but I have also lived in St. Louis, Scottsdale, San Diego and just recently moved to Tucson AZ. I am unwaveringly loyal and truly close with my family and friends. Most recently, I’m focused on training people all over the country- while still growing myself and my business locally- I guess you could say I’m living the dream.
After earning my undergraduate degree in Education from Washington University in St Louis, and then my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from UCSD, I entered the teaching world to explore my passion for children, learning and sharing what I know. I’m always amazed at how many people in AF either were a teacher or have a parent who was a teacher. I think it gives us a greater understanding and heart for the teachers we work with. So much of what we do is just “educating educators”.
I've actually had 4 independent career paths, from Retail Fashion buyer to Elementary teacher, to being a pioneer in the Non-profit fundraising and Event space. Now, my latest challenge has been helping AF grow and improve through my contributions as an AVP. Recently, this opportunity has allowed me to grow my business to other cities and even move back out to West coast, which has been a desire since I left 20 years ago.
As a result of this background, and my Dad’s influence, my approach is very honest and genuine- I can talk to and relate to just about anyone and I bring a high level of drive and consistency to my work. I like to consider myself one part ‘heart and soul’ and one part fire.
With a knack for teaching and selling, and helping others, I’m passionate about finding innovative ways to grow my business and expand my influence. As a result, I’ve been recognized by my company and my team for my contributions to setting the bar for high performance expectations and leading by example and hopefully inspiring and influencing others to do the same.
I try to ensure that I never get complacent. I always try be humble and willing to learn and get better every day. I bring a unique perspective to the team: to give their all, relate to people as if they were your own family and continue to push yourself beyond what you think you can do today.
When I’m not busy running appointments at AF, you can find me hanging out or traveling with my kids, working out, playing tennis or trying to become a better iPhone photographer. The best part of who I am and what I do is being a Mom. Hands down.
Outside of AF, I am a self-proclaimed “wanderlust” who likes to travel and experience new cultures, foods and people. I have always thought my next path may be as a travel writer.. experiencing new places and getting others excited to visit those places.
