It is exceedingly difficult to lead someone on a path that you have never actually traveled yourself.
For many men they did not have a rite of passage from being a boy to manhood leaving droves of men left wandering around attempting to create their own path. This can be a good thing with the right foundation. Without it they are wandering a path to nowhere.
