On this week's PoM Podcast I sit down and talk with Pastor Mike Stone. Stone is a former chair of the SBC Executive Committee. He is a former president of the Georgia Baptist Convention and served on the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.
Stone has served Emmanuel Baptist Church as pastor since 1996. Emmanuel has more than 1,000 in attendance each Lord’s Day. As a small-town pastor of a blue-collar church, Pastor Mike has served in many ways in his community.
In the Southern Baptist Convention, Pastor Mike Stone, says the SBC’s leniency and softened stances on social issues (abortion, transgenderism, etc) coupled with scandals that have rocked Church Leadership have led to a decades-long decline in attendance, membership, and baptisms.
