It's the final season of the original run (shudder) of Dexter, and Stockholme Syndrome must have set in for Daniel based on how he feels about the premiere. Almost nothing works in the first episode of season 8 but graded on this curve that's maybe better than they were expecting. We get The Iconic Bench Scene. Harrison doesn't care about Dexter at all. Daniel defends some parts of the episode. Eric doubles down (correctly) on just how terrible a father Dexter is. We're all gonna get through this fam just in time to have to do it all again later this year. Mother of God.
