The Prophet Joseph explained that it was not possible for humanity to understand his creation, purpose, and design, if he or she (that's not the same thing) didn't understand "Who" and "What" God is. Much of the chaos we are witnessing today was foretold by ancient prophets as they warned us about gender-role confusions which are leaching into the core of our society. The goal of the Book of Genesis, as prepared for us by Ezra, summating the words of Moses, is an attempt to bring meaning and peace amid the chaos of our modern world, even within modern Israel. We are particularly fortunate to have the windows of heaven open on this all-important topic.
