Professional basketball player, Moses Kingsley, joined me on the show this week! He made the promise to come back, and he did.  A native of Enugus, Nigeria, Moses had a very rough upbringing, growing up never playing organized basketball, playing outside with no shoes. Trying to survive and helping the family put food on the table at a young age helped build a tough skin for Moses. Moses moved to Mississippi in the tenth grade, a great opportunity for him, and he began playing basketball seriously and adapting to an entirely new culture. Transferring to Huntington Prep in West Virginia  his junior year of high school, Moses wanted to elevate his game and play against and with the best players in the country. (22:35)

Moses quickly became one of the top players in the country and received offers from top schools all across the country before deciding to choose Mike Anderson and the University of Arkansas as his place to call home. Sitting behind great players his first two years of college, Moses upstart was immediate his junior year, becoming one of the most prominent players in the SEC. Moses began racking up numerous accolades, and his name was quickly being noticed as one of the top big men in the country. His NBA dream unfortunately did not work out, but he took a chance to play overseas in Greece.

Taking time away from the game now, Moses has started his own basketball camp and held it for kids back home in Nigeria, a dream he has always had, to help and provide for the people and place that helped him get here today. (57:05) This is one of the best moments I have ever had while recording, and I have much gratitude for Moses. This is what he left me with “Always have a good heart, have a good heart for everyone, have love in your heart. If you can work towards that, then you will be proud.” So much fun with this episode, I’m entirely grateful for what I do. Please learn, laugh, and listen, enjoy this! God bless everyone!
