Season 3 is here! Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball star Jaylin Williams joined me to kick off the season! A native of Fort Smith, Arkansas and a basketball player since the beginning, Jaylin told me he’s been playing basketball since he was four years old, beginning with travel basketball. In a city with so much talent, Jaylin's only mindset was to succeed. Jaylin mentioned with me the pros and cons of staying home at Ft. Smith Northside instead of going to a prep school. A family man indeed, he mentioned many times that his family is his backbone and support, and each family member brings a different and important dynamic to his life. A very driven player, Jaylin’s mind relaxer is playing video games, and Madden has always been his go-to game.

As an incoming player in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jaylin committed to Arkansas with an intriguing class, including Moses Moody, Devo Davis, and KK Robinson. A grateful and humble guy, Jaylin talked so much about exceeding expectations by becoming the SEC record holder for rebounds in conference play, and being a part of a Razorback team that would reach the elite eight for the first time in over 20 years. A very wise and learned young man, Jalyin talked to me about everything he’s learned and used from former teammates and coach Eric Musselman.

It’s been awhile, but at the end of my interviews, I always ask my guests, “What legacy do you want to leave behind, and what advice would you give to anyone listening?” Jaylin left me with this: “Keep your mental right, no matter what you’re doing in life. Without a strong mind, you can’t be strong at what you’re doing. Have fun, smile, and don’t be stressed out.”  An interview long in the making, and I enjoyed every second of it! Appreciation sent to everyone! I hope you enjoy this episode! God bless!
