Founder of Interstate 70 Sports Media and wrestling announcer, Jeremy Karp, joined me on the show this week! A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Karp talked me about how his parents introduced him to the sports world at a young age. Aspiring to be a sports journalist even as an eight year old, Karp knew where he wanted his career to go. Karp, a very honest and heartspoken man, walked me through his unconventional college route, and how his community college journey shaped him better than any other place could have. A man of such integrity, Karp powerfully talked about his difficult path with seizures, and how they have changed his life (15:50). Relying on family, friends, and his peers, Karp began to question so much, but continues to think about the positives that he has in his life. Karp’s work as an announcer for Dynamo Pro Wrestling filled the show with advice and stories I got to hear about wrestling, which is something I love dearly, and it was transforming. Interstate 70 Sports Media started out only as a podcast for St. Louis sports, but Karp has transformed his business into a household name. Now covering St. Louis, Kansas City, and college sports, Karp’s business has reached millions of people. https://interstate70sports.media/.
Karp left me with this, “Life is a book full of empty pages, waiting to be written in. Make your book worth reading. That's how I think, my number one goal is to have a best-seller, I just want to make an impact, and leave a positive impact.” I enjoyed every second of this episode, filled with advice and life stories you can learn so much from. God bless, everyone.
