In today’s episode, I want to talk specifically about negative thinking and a way to stop them from consuming your day. It involves a tool that fits within the CBT model and was created by therapist Laura Denke. It helps you manage the overwhelm and retrain the way your brain thinks.
Download this free Negative Thoughts Worksheet for digital and printable versions of the exercise explained in this episode. You can also use a notebook and pen if that’s accessible to you.
This is different from many tools we’ve taught in the past. Negative thoughts happen within. Other people can’t make you stop or start them or hear them unless you choose to share. Negative thoughts are consistently there. They guide the way someone views and acts in the world. Affirmations are great tools that help us think new thoughts. But they often don’t get to the root cause of negative thoughts. Listen to learn more about this tool. I hope it helps!
