Change is one of those things that we're never really taught how to deal with as children.  Change is all around us in varying scales, but how equipped are we to deal with them?

Here are my top tips for embracing change:

  1. Make control work for you.  Focus on the things that build you up rather than tear you down.  Harness your shadow value of control in ways that keep your immune system and your mental state healthy.
  2. Ask yourself what is behind the curtain.  What opportunities are available?  Is it something you need to sidestep?  What can I learn from this moment?  What can propel me forward?
  3. When something is completely out of your control, instead of mourning the change, embrace a happy memory. Build a wealth of fulfillment that goes with you wherever you go.
