For many immigrants and children of immigrants, travel is seen as a luxury and isn't often considered. My first time on a plane was to come to the USA (cue Coming To America) just before my 17th birthday. Now, I've been to 57 countries.
In this episode, I share five tips for creating a realistic travel budget:
1. How going over budget sucks and the reason many travel budgets are not realistic
2. Considering the number of travelers and whether costs are splot
3. Identifying all possible cost categories to avoid surprised
4. Clarifying the vacation style for your trip (budget, mid-range, or luxury)
5. What to research to create a reasonable budget in each category
6. How I leave room for flexibility in my travel budget
As I promised, here is the link to the blog post with details on building your travel budget. At the bottom of the post, there's a link to my travel budget template.
