Description

We are more than excited to share this episode with you as Kate (virtually) sits down with the lovely Debbie Keyt and Kristina Doucouliagos, committee members and representatives from the Beaumaris Theatre Company.

Founded in 1953 by Bill and Angela Martin, the Beaumaris Theatre has a rich 67 years of history. In this episode we discuss how a make-shift attic space became a hub for local thespians and the occasional celebrity.

Debbie and Kristina share stories of behind the scenes disasters that productions have faced in the past involving drunken actors, morning sickness, gastro and injuries.

Finally, Kate finds out how the ‘extended interval’ during COVID restrictions has impacted operations and the fun new way that they have been able to continue to encourage engagement through the Theatre At Home series.
