Christie Vilsack preaches to students the importance of getting out of one’s comfort zone. Something she learned as a member of the inaugural class at Kirkland College. Along the way that lesson has served her well in careers in both education and politics. This week Christie shares insight into those experiences including helping shape what Kirkland would become, putting her husband Tom through law school, serving as the First Lady of Iowa, and the evolution of her career as a teacher.
