What if as a child you learned how to manage your thoughts and you knew that a thought was just a thought? Imagine how different your adult life would be if, as a child, when you got anxious you knew how to take a few deep breaths and calm your mind and let go of the past and the future thoughts so you could return to the present moment.
Author Nikki Hedstrom got curious about just that and created “A Thought Is A Thought” book for children and the family as a whole. The book is designed to help children and families to understand and process their thoughts. The book has practical exercises and practices that can be implemented and used on a daily basis.
The concept that a thought is a thought may seem hard to grasp, but it really is quite simple. A Thought is just a thought and we can let it go, it's not who we are , it doesn’t define us, and we can choose another one.
