In this episode of The Scott Townsend Show, I visit with storyteller/writer Adam Bush about humor, joke-writing, where humor comes from, and his appearance on Broadway during a Mike Burbiglia show.
Adam Bush is a writer in Tulsa, OK. In 2007, he began his career as a writer for Church on the Move, then started The Ambush Group, a production studio dedicated to original television and film ideas, in 2013. In 2018 he sold his first intellectual property, a television show for kids, called Pete and Penelope to Yippee.TV.
Adam also won comedian Mike Birbiglia’s #BirbigsUnderstudy contest in 2018 and performed on Broadway at The Court Theater — the beginning of his standup career.
He lives in Tulsa with his wife DyAna and the best kid on the planet, Luna Jo.
