Or so they say, they being the creators of Warhammer 40K, Games Workshop.
GW has created one of the most popular games you've never heard of. But there is a legion of fans around the world who cannot get enough of the game, the models, and the lore.
To find out more about this tabletop game that lies beneath the surface of mainstream pop culture, I invited Jason Horn, a self-described nerd, and fanatic when it comes to Warhammer 40K, to help explain the game and its appeal.

The Iron Halo Con is a Warhammer 40,000 Grand Tournament which started in 2014 with 40 players and has grown to 150 players this year with folks traveling as far as the east and west coasts. Every year they raise money for On the Rock Ministries and have raised funds to help building improvements, new vehicles, and even help purchase a therapy dog. Jason Horn is the event organizer for the Iron Halo Con and has been playing and collecting Warhammer miniatures for almost a decade. His passion for the game and community development has helped him facilitate this event over the past 6 years and his achievements are not unrecognized. Earlier this year, Jason was awarded the title “Warhammer Hero” for his many accomplishments in the Warhammer community by Games Workshop.
