The first in a series of book readings, Calamity Jayne begins reading the book, SHUT YOUR MOUTH: Advice I Ignored, Lessons She Taught by Renee Louisa Rockow and Jayne Van Brunt. Working together, Calamity Jayne and Roxy completed the book in less than a year and published in May of 2020. The story follows Roxy from her youngest memories of family and the many places they lived, describing the often tumultuous mother-daughter relationship she experienced. It's a story about acceptance, forgiveness, and the letting go that leads to the desire to heal and to reflect upon life lessons learned from a mother who was in fact, the perfect teacher for what the daughter needed to learn.
