We’re starting off Spooky Season™ with John Carpenter and Debra Hill’s 1978 Halloween, starring a very young Jamie Lee Curtis (iconic) and apparently also Mike Meyers, since Jaime can’t manage to say the character’s name right. Eric gives us the deets, Jaime gets her facts straight, and we get into one of the founding films of the slasher genre and also fate and mortality and all that good stuff.
Content Warnings: Unreality, stabbing, brief sexual content, sexual violence (just a discussion as a possible theme, not explicitly shown in the film), and the COVID-19 pandemic.
This week we donated to the Gofundmes for Jacob Blake, Jojo Rosenbaum, and Anthony Huber. See the Show Notes for links and more info.
