Raw, off the rip and pure. That's what I got from the opening of this episode. In such a chaotic time, Michael puts things into perspective. I saw this episode as a collection of built up thoughts that Michael is addressing. As much as he is speaking to us I feel like he is speaking to himself. I have witnessed Michael be up, but also low. You can hear the passion in his voice. To me this episode is beautiful, we are seeing a more vulnerable side of Michael but yet he finds a way to manipulate his struggle and his obscure state of mind into motivation. One thing I love about Michael, he always gives praise and love to the ones around him.
The beauty in this episode is the simplicity of it. This isn't "Doom" this isn't "Dj Fortunate" this isn't "The Fortune Teller" this is Michael. An average facetime call consists of the substance of this episode. I call it Anecdotal motivation. I am always in awe of what this man has been through and how he uses it as fuel to help be the shining light we know him as. With what Michael's experienced its hard to believe it has had a positive impact on him. "God only tests his toughest soldiers" and this man is living proof of that. I pray you appreciate the intimacy of this episode.
Speaking on the death of Deshaun "Bam Bam" Greer a close friend of Michael wouldn't of been an easy task. Maybe its just me but I can feel the love resonate in the air with this episode. This man is the last to brag or boast but he is the first to celebrate the successes of those around him. I said this to him the other day, "I am going to feel so fulfilled when you blow up." I think we can all agree that this is inevitable. If you have never met Michael I feel for you, I truly do. He has an inherent ability to bring the best out of people. I hope you hear that and you feel it in the small 48 minutes glimpse we get.
I hope you notice the tonal shift in Michaels voice from start to finish of this episode. As much as he is enlightening us he is also providing clarity for himself. In what seems to be the most random episode, it is the most intricate. Its a voice memo of all that is going on in his head on the 29/10/2020. I have done nothing but smile during the episode. After the storm there is always a rainbow. I know that's the case here. With so much on the horizon for Michael and so many pieces of the puzzle to put together sometimes you realize although, the piece fits its not part of the picture. Michael thank you for clearing your mind and allowing us to come along on this beautiful, intimate journey. This was needed.
