1 Corinthians 9:19-27 (NIV)
The Apostle Paul was the person most responsible for taking the Gospel to the non-Jews (the Gentiles). In order to do this he had to exercise a lot of self-control. He was no longer bound by the meticulous regulations of the Law, but he chose to limit his freedom for the sake of those he was ministering to.
