Building Movements from the Margins: how movement and nonprofit work for social justice continue in the face of disenfranchisement

The South has long been at the forefront of social justice and civil rights movements, but movement and nonprofit work in the region is often under-resourced, underfunded, and overlooked. Join us for a conversation with Southern leaders on the forefronts of national justice movements, who will talk about their experiences building power in the face of disenfranchisement and offer their insights on what nonprofits and community organizations in the region need to sustain their work. This conversation is co-sponsored by YANA and Go South, a Yale alumni-founded summer fellowship program fiscally sponsored by YANA.
