2 Timothy 2:24-3:5
24And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to
everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, 25correcting his opponents
with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a
knowledge of the truth, 26and they may come to their senses and escape
from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.
3:1But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of
difficulty. 2For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant,
abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3heartless,
unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving
good, 4treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather
than lovers of God, 5having the appearance of godliness, but denying its
power. Avoid such people.
