Martin Friedman is joined by Anuar Velazquez and Devon Adams in our new episode this week. Devon begins by sharing his story about being in prison, and the growth he accomplished while serving his sentence. Anuar and Devon go on to share their childhood memories of learning what it means to be a man. Both Anuar and Devon have found that they were exposed to violence at very young ages. They realize now that the violence that they witnessed was internalized as young boys and expressed physically as young men. Men in America are being taught to use violence to prove they are masculine. Martin, Anuar, and Devon are all here to share their stories with the hope that men in America can move out of violence and into freedom.
